Completely blanked! I work for myself so in a way this is no biggie, but I was supposed to run the shop today and instead we were closed all day. I’m sorry if anyone was wanting to shop today... A stormy sunset over kunanyi/Mount Wellington, Hobart city and the Derwent Estuary thanks to @damienbrockie. The mountain has received a dusting of snow over the past couple of days, and our island state has received some much needed rain. A mist-covered moon rises over the Derwent River in this atmospheric shot from @hobartian. The Derwent flows over almost 200 kilometres from Lake St Clair in the central highlands, to the Derwent Estuary on which modern-day Hobart was founded. It's the lifeblood for a number of communities along its length, in particular the historic settlement of New Norfolk - a township founded by those displaced by the closure of the Norfolk Island penal settlement. Many southern Tasmanian have an affinity with the Derwent, as place of work, play, or simply reflection and repose.
