guys i’m back! i’m home from just over four weeks away in the states and canada! i had the best time ever! i have all my stories saved on my other profile @bradcanning in a highlight if you want to check them out. ‍♂️ i was pretty worried for the plants while I was gone but was pleasantly surprised that they all survived! a few have some crusty edges and looked a little thirsty, but i gave them all a big drink and they all seem happy again! the avo gang is still going strong too! ✨ i was super surprised by the guy on the right. it’s the biggest pip in my collection but i had to separate it a while ago from the others cos it got mealy bugs all over it. i ended go chopping it off and letting it grow again. it probably had one or two tiny little leaves when I left but now the leaves are bigger than my hand! crazy! how are all yours going?

I just want to give some love to the old classic, Devils Ivy. Dubbed an unkillable houseplant, it’s a kick ass plant! They tolerate a broad range of lighting (including low light), bounce back so well from under/over watering, and are pest resistant (and easy to treat when under attack). It’s an incredibly adaptable plant from an aesthetic perspective too - it can look super cute as small plant & stunning as a big specimen, it looks fab growing in water, it can fill an empty space if trained to grow up a pole, it can tumble off a shelf, or you can train it to climb up and across a wall. It’s also my number one go to plant to propagate in water as they usually grow roots in no more than two weeks. . I know sometimes we are drawn to the rare, the hard to find, and the unusual when building a plant collection. I am as much as any other plant lover (I can’t go past a good Aroid). But I love a beautiful plant regardless of its availability & status, and these guys are stunners! Thanks @eileenslove for the inspo for this post. One of my first #houseplants was this #pothosmarblequeen! It’s been about 3 years since I’ve gotten it and I’ve since moved it to my dental office (@4th.seneca.dental) where it’s pushed off a good foot of growth so far!
