Someone once told me that eating spicy foods in the summer heat is a great way to cool down . Do you believe it? The logic is that if it makes you sweat even more than it cools you down! I'm here for it with this spicy spinach noodle dish topped with beef mushroom sauce by @sister_lius_kitchen. I'm happy to report there is now some shaded outdoor seating. I also loved their dumplings that you can also buy frozen to take home. #lindaeatsNC ⠀
Happy Friday, y'all! This month seems to be speeding by . What do you have planned for your weekend?
It’s Friday and I’m looking at my to-do list wondering where the week has gone.
The end of the week snuck up on me and I’m trying not to feel guilty that I don’t have more things checked off my list. ✅
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. Our expectations don’t meet the reality of what we’re faced with, but we still have to face it.
For me, the first step in facing it is to cut myself some slack. I’m doing the best I can, and sometimes, my best, means I don’t get to everything on my checklist for the week.
So this morning, that’s what I’m doing. I’m slowing down, making coffee, and taking a few much needed deep breaths. I’ll get back to my list after I give myself some appreciation for what I have accomplished this week.

Today, Co-Owners Melissa and Lee Katrincic announced plans for @DurhamDistillery’s craft cocktail bar – Corpse Reviver, following the passage of SB 290!
The passage of Senate Bill 290 on July 16th marks a historic milestone for distilleries in North Carolina, now enabling cocktails to be served at distilleries, making it possible for distillers to operate a bar in addition to the distillery.
Durham Distillery’s Corpse Reviver will be located on the ground floor beneath the distillery with an entrance and outdoor patio facing the historic train trestle. Corpse Reviver is slated to open in early 2020! Cheers to that! #bestofthebull
