This past weekend over 100 @SacredSons anchored the new paradigm of healthy, sacred masculinity onto this earth by doing the deep work to free ourselves from the ties that bind us to unconscious patterns of relating.⁣ ⁣ When I say deep work I'm not mincing words. We are talking about the healing of trauma trapped in our physical and emotional bodies caused by abuse and/or neglect, very often at the hands of family, caretakers or friends who were wounded themselves.⁣ ⁣ The container of trust we created at @libertyarising strengthened our courage and supported our brothers to face the pain they, and all men carry in our bodies, hearts, minds and souls! ⁣ ⁣ We dove deep into darkness and made sure to leave no man behind because this is how we rise - TOGETHER! ⁣ ⁣ It is my conviction that until men experience the profound revelations born of masculine alchemy and communion with the sacred in authentic brotherhood, which I believe is the new paradigm route to awakening for a society full of wounded men...⁣ ⁣ we will have to continue traversing our own darkness as lone wolves who will terrorize ourselves and others until maybe, maybe we find our way home to our hearts, or simply perish and cause others to perish as so many of us do.⁣ ⁣ Because it is through being seen, heard and witnessed in true brotherhood that we will learn what it truly means to be our brother's keeper. And not only our brother's keeper but also the protectors of our families, our children, our sisters, our communities and all that is sacred. ⁣⁣ ⁣ Now that we've landed back into our individual lives after taking flight and soaring to such great heights together, we will be tested. This is where the rubber meets the road, where we must continue the work and remain accountable to ourselves and each other so that we may stay the course.⁣ ⁣ Our collective future is uncertain but we must proceed with ironclad will to manifest the highest vision for all life. And though the challenges that lay before us are monumental, what a thrill it is to be a man alive in these times and tasked with the sacred purpose of righting the wrongs of our forefathers.⁣ ⁣ RISE WITH US BROTHERS! IT'S TIME! ☀️⁣ ⁣ #SacredSons

A few years ago I found myself at a crossroads. I had pitched a TV show. Had a budding film and Tv career. Agents. Great press. But I had a ton of anxiety. I was controlling my eating. I wasn’t happy. I was drinking too much. Something was deeply off. And that’s when I heard a deeper calling for my life’s purpose and I took a leap + began the wild + weird path of building a business that felt in alignment with my heart, my deepest gifts, and my body. Now I have a book coming out with my favorite publisher next year, alongside other spiritual authors on their roster such as Ram Dass and Pema Chodron. I have a successful business helping women heal and expand and have found financial freedom, while holding the intention of helping people as my core mission. And I feel really f*cking good a lot of the time! BUT IT WAS NOT ALWAYS LIKE THIS. And it is the exact tools, practices + teachings that helped ME find my path, that I want to share with you on retreat with me + Ruby Warrington @1440multiversity this coming Mother’s Day weekend. Ruby is one of my besties, my closest collaborator + one of my greatest teachers. She believed in me as I made the transition last year fully saying goodbye to my last commercial directing job for United Airlines and saying “I’m going all in with true life’s work!” Both of us risked throwing away an OLD MODEL OF SUCCESS rooted in the capitalist patriarchy, in order to leap into lives we LOVE. We learned how to trust + follow our intuition. We got brave + confronted our subconscious patterning. We did work on healing the wounds that kept us playing small + not believing we were worthy of having everything we want. And in doing so, we have built careers for ourselves FROM SCRATCH that feel awesome. NOW WE WANT TO HELP YOU DO IT TOO! Whether you feel blocked in business, in love, in your relationship with your body, or in your family life. This retreat will give you the exact tools + teachings we have used to get where we are today—helping you redefine “success” to mean a life that fully supports you being YOU. Link in bio for all info! • Words amended from Ruby’s beautiful post yesterday.

People who are self-aware, who go to therapy, who think through the dynamics and meaning of their relationships— we so strongly believe in the power of naming our experiences. Sometimes though, people talk about their emotions to avoid feeling them. We aren’t necessarily aware that we are doing this. We may tell ourselves that we are being vulnerable in our sharing. There is a certain level of vulnerability in talking about the challenges we face. However, even when we are naming our experience, especially when we use words like “stressed” or “frustrated”, sometimes we are distancing ourselves from the bigness of our feelings. We can talk with great detail about how we feel and why we feel that way without ever showing that emotion in our voices or on our faces. We give explanation to our state of being without being in our bodies. Yes, sometimes this is necessary. It can be overwhelming to feel our feelings fully all the time. However, some of us respond to this by avoiding experiencing the everyday ebb and flow of emotions in fear we will be consumed by it. It’s okay to take some distance from our emotions when needed. But, when we aim to be more honest and more connected with ourselves and each other, it requires feeling and expressing our emotions in an embodied way. Let’s practice by checking in with ourselves right now. How do I feel? How do I know I am experiencing this emotion? What does it feel like in my body? The next time you notice yourself using the words “frustrated”, “stressed”, or “upset” to describe how you feel, notice that. Check in with your body. Remember that you have the ability to move through the anger, the fear, the sadness that is being masked by this language. #vulnerabilityisstrength #bevulnerable #embodiment #feelyourfeelings #emotionalwellbeing #empathsbelike #highlysensitiveperson #cptsd

“More than just a physical act, receptivity is the capacity that allows us to accept divine support, as well as the gifts of others and of nature. Like a plant drawing nutrients from the earth, we are equipped with the ability to receive guidance and well-being from a field greater than ourselves. But if we’ve been conditioned by scarcity, or the culture’s pronounced bias towards doing, we may have atrophied the receiving muscle. Once we understand the value of receiving, we can begin to draw on the support that so many of us crave. . Receptivity is associated with the strengths of yin: waiting, listening, accepting, and magnetizing us to the things that reverberate with our well-being. In times of scarcity and doubt, we are taught to get organized, launch plans, plot directions, and build agendas. There is nothing wrong with these actions—in fact, they are essential in any creative process. But if we don’t first come into the sincerity of solitude, these are just defensive postures against the course of events. . To receive well is to know the wisdom of surrender. Yin chooses to yield even when everyone else is getting ahead. Like an inner earth, yin is the soil in which we gestate our dreams, refine our intuition, listen to our bodies, and come into the stillness of our centre. When actions arise from the receptive still point they have real meaning. Ideas that emerge from this level of imagination serve more than the individual: they serve the great ecosystem from which our well-being is drawn.” . "Getting into that interstitial realm from which creativity arises is not something we do – it’s our undoing. Relaxing the rational mind is what allows the genius of the unconscious to express itself. Silence, the sacred circle, and really any devotional practice or ritual, helps us drop down into that deeper level of imagination, away from the direct sunlight of our attention, where we become more subtly reflective, like the moon. Here, our creative questions can be seen in a new and unexpected light." . by Toko-pa (www.toko-pa.com) .
