Well, my husband and I now have an empty nest. But, I’m making lemonade by turning one of the rooms into an office. Now I finally have a place for my books! (The second photo shows how they were taking over my living room!)

What the what They say the days are slow, but the years are fast. True. True. True. . So, HELLO empty nest. You sure do come with complicated feelings. And you're pretty bossy too... demanding that Brad and I release the three incredible humans we've had the honor to raise into a world that doesn't love them like we do. (And what do you mean Brad and I can't move into an adjoining room in Kennedy's dorm?) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Times and feelings like these help me appreciate the fact that I know a few things about God and His goodness. I know that He loves Preston, Hunter and Kennedy even more than Brad and I (which seems absurd). ‍♀️ I know that my children will make mistakes along the way (just like me), but they can never wander to a place where they aren't seen, known or loved by HIM. I know that when they are hurt, scared, frustrated or confused, Jesus is just a whisper away. I know that Brad and I have done everything we could to prepare our Smith crew to fly... and I know that their wings are strong for flight. . So off you go, @kennedysmithhh !
