On the weekend kids made their own flowers in the Kids Nature Club tent. With a mix of native and non native flowers to use for their collages you could really see there were differences. The Aussie native flowers we chose were banksias and gum blossoms, these flowers don’t have petals and they didn’t contain much water in them at all. The non natives we had were roses and these flowers had delicate petals and you could feel they did have water in them! Our Aussie flowers are perfect for our warm Aussie climate aren’t they ☺️ Everyone did such a wonderful job making their flowers and how pretty did everything look!!
We loved meeting all the kids at Envirofest on the weekend! Little or big, everyone enjoyed themselves and the kids spent so much time at our tent pottering and playing and chatting. One boy said to me “this is fun, it feels very relaxing here”. We chatted about how being in nature and playing with nature makes you feel relaxed and happy. It was the highlight of my day and his comment was the highest compliment ☺️ #naturetherapy #envirofest
