Day 16 of Fall for Costume is fantasy, which makes me nostalgic, because my first foray into costume was Lord of the Rings! Éowyn dresses were my jam. I used to go to conventions (in the heyday of Lord of the Rings there was a separate convention dedicated just to it) and there I got to meet my heroes you can tell by my dopey smile how excited I was to meet Miranda Otto ❤️ She complimented my costume, too, which made 15-old-Sarah extremely happy — 1st: 2008 - Shieldmaiden dress with stupidly elaborate handembroidery on leather with John Rhys-Davies (Gimli) 2nd: 2007 - Green Edoras gown in its final form with Andy Serkis (Gollum) 3rd: 2006 - Coronation Gown with horrible hair and the always lovely @miranda.otto (Éowyn herself!) 4th: 2005 - Green Edoras gown in its initial form without collar with John Noble (Denethor) . . . #fallforcostume is hosted by @redthreaded ❤️ . . .
