It's done, and it's listed for sale! I had a lot of fun making this #scrappy #logcabinquilt - I learned a lot, re-discovered my love for my #juki sewing machine, and was amazed by the many different layout possibilities.⠀
⠀
It took a lot of patience, and a lot of seam pressing, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I quilted it with an all-over feather pattern, and backed it with a gorgeous aqua / mint fabric. I even took the time to piece a section in the backing! ⠀
⠀
I would love to see it be used and loved by a little one. If you know a certain someone who would benefit from having this quilt in their life, you can check out all of the listing details at the link in my profile ⠀

Instagram vs. Reality - it’s probably no secret that I take huge pride in making my grid look pretty. If you watch my stories, though, you know that my life rarely looks like that picture perfect setting you see in the first photo. Swipe right if you want to see what my weaving situation actually looks like - sweats, no makeup, usually nonexistent because...babies. I’m not going to stop taking pretty photos of my work because I am, after all, running a business. That said, I do think it’s important to tell you that although my grid might look pretty, my life is pretty messy . Post inspired by @mybodywpg and @_risingstrong a couple of power house women who always remind me to keep it real.
Today's prompt for #burntfebruary brought to you by @walnuthollow and @woodburncorner is "free hand". For this prompt I decided to do a time lapse of one of my classic nocturnal mountain cabin scenes. I've never been able to draw a decent crescent moon in one shot so I find it comical that it gets smaller and smaller as I work on this piece lol. Not drawing it out in pencil first and just going for it was pretty fun, though!

Finished my second large wildflower piece and it will be available for purchase at the Etsy Spring Makers Market on April 6th. It looks really great next to my other wildflower piece I made that was displayed at the Brier this year. I love working with Basswood!

Hey folks.
These chickens have always had my heart so I decided to go ahead and make them into some freaking adorable notebooks.
Come by @appleandpinemarket on Saturday this week to scoop up yours!
Contains as much recycled material in there as I could possibly find because save the trees. Also a hint of my sense of humour that I absolutely share with my two toddlers. .
