She has a BS in Health Education and a minor in Physical Education from Linfield College, is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, an EXOS Performance Specialist, Certified Core9 Birth Recovery & Diastasis Repair Instructor and CPR certified. After having her first child in 2014 she attended a Baby Boot Camp class in Portland, Oregon and was blown away by the program. She fell in love with the incredible workout and the camaraderie shown between the moms. Everyone was extremely welcoming and made her feel apart of the group right from the start. Keeping it simple today with these words, that are stronger + more meaningful than anything I could say. Feeling all the heart things about these words from Paul today. "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." ~ Romans 12:9-10 . . . Things that stand out to me are that Paul says to a) be sincere in love, to me this means to not just love people because you are supposed to, but sincerely put your heart into action in love and b) hate what is evil ( talk about an unpopular concept) but cling to what is good. To me this verse it really saying is we need to recognize what brokenness looks like, but cling to what is good. Regardless of anything else, we must sincerely love without bounds or restrictions. Love anyways. Love everyone fiercely + with our whole heart. The scripture goes on to reinforce this saying to be devoted to one another in love + honor others above yourself. There are no contingencies listed in this. Just a flat out, clear call to love others no matter what. How powerful is that? We can look straight to Jesus for examples of this, case after case. He is steady + He is love. . . . Speaking of, Justin + I are on the church hunt. If you know me, this is basically my least favorite thing ever. Meet Jackson, my foster of the week! Jackson is one bouncy ball of joy! His whole body wiggles as he runs to play or greet you. He is potty trained and will sleep in the crate but will let you know when he’d like to come out and play. He loves kids and other dogs and doesn’t mind the cat at all. He’s about 17 lbs and a terrier mix of some sorts. If you are interested in meeting him, come to Petsmart tomorrow, we’ll be there from 12 to 3 PM!
