Ammonites are marvellous in their math perfection (Google 'logarithmic spiral' and you'll see), thus I still don't get why even the processed (sawed into halves) ones are being sold for a relatively low price.. they are so old, and AFAIK you can't sell any ammonite you find (at least as an ornamental piece), since some infelicitously fossilized ones are pale and ugly inside. GOOD VIBES ONLY In the last year I became somewhat obsessed with the powers of the Evil Eye. At least the ones I have been wearing. The eye’s history is far-reaching and has intertwined with many religions and cultures for the past 5,000 years. I first started collecting these talismans when I traveled through Turkey in 1989. It is believed that the eye protects its owner from negativity, evil spirits, and harm by staring back at the world and reflecting these forces. I toggle between adorning a magnificent blingy necklace or an equally fabulous bracelet. I have to say, ever since I started wearing these daily over a year ago, life has been pretty fabulous. I'd like to pass on the protection so I created several of my own evil eye pieces that will be at the Girdwood Brewery show on Saturday.
