In case you missed our announcement last week (the video is pinned to the top of our FB page if you’d like to watch!), we are SO EXCITED to finally share our very big news with you: that’s right, we are taking over the entire main floor of our building at 921 9 Ave. SE in Inglewood! We hope to be all done renovating, and ready to unveil our huge expansion complete with TONS more bulk, refill and zero waste options mid-July. Jill has always practiced slow and manageable growth of both businesses (The Apothecary and All Things Jill) and prides herself on that. We have a good nest egg set aside for this expansion but we are super excited to announce that we will also be running an independent crowdfunding campaign with some amazing incentives! We appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm so, so much and we want to involve you in this stage of our growth as much as possible. This means that we will be asking for input on products we should bring in, what you hope to see in the store, and what matters most to you as we make some pretty big changes. Slow Sunday // I’m in total bliss as I’m surrounded by all three of my fur babies. All within arm’s reach. All sleeping so peacefully. I know one day soon I’ll do anything to relive this very moment, so I’m soaking in every second of it (but I had to snap a photo of Toby being a giant, needy, baby first)

This place. This date. 2 years ago today. This is where it all started ⠀ .⠀ Let’s go back just a couple months earlier (hang with me for a bit, I promise this story is a good one). Sometime in August 2016, my cousin, Sarah, and my youngest brother, Tyler, were visiting me in Calgary. While Sarah and I were in the kitchen making breakfast, Tyler started asking me a whole bunch of odd questions about myself. While I was mostly distracted by what I was doing, I went along with it for a while until I realized he was typing like a mad man on my computer. .⠀ Well, I finally figured out that he had signed me up for an online dating site, eharmony to be specific. Get this, I was NOT going online until I was 30 which meant I still had a few years to go! The whole thing intrigued me though but the experience was horrible... so within a week or so I switched to Match... which wasn’t much better. Almost ready to ditch the online dating thing, I decided to give Christian Mingle one last go and THANK GOD I did. Shortly after joining (within a month and a half), I got a message from Chris from Red Deer which was 1.5 hours away but closer to my family! I actually did the first 2 years of my degree at Red Deer college back in the day so I already knew I liked the place. Anyways, we were a 98% match . I could tell from his photos that he was super handsome, enjoyed a lot of the same things that I did, and just looked like a genuinely fun guy to be around. .⠀ We messaged non-stop for a few days and then he asked if I’d like to meet up as he was going to be flying into Calgary after visiting his family in Ontario. I had never met up with anyone I’d chatted with online before, so this was a big deal! Chris and I met at the Simmons Building (former mattress factory) in @eastvillageyyc for coffee at @philandseb on Sunday, October 2, 2016. After chatting over coffee for a while, we walked around Princess Island Park - the fall leaves were insanely gorgeous and our conversation was going great. Before our date wrapped up, he asked to see me again. Of course I said YES! I was so flustered though... [story continued in the comments, I know, Instagram thinks I’m too long winded too ]
