It sends noods.
Starting the week with bad jokes and good soup is how I roll. My easy at-home “”cheater” ramen with crispy, spicy crumbled tofu is one of the most-loved recipes from my days as @thesoupsolution. I’m just putting the finishing touches on it today with a update to include the addition of roasted garlic in the miso broth, a genius idea from @evergreenkitchen_’s vegan ramen recipe. À bien des égards, le Sénégal est un pays fascinant d’un point de vue culinaire, de par les ingrédients qui sont utilisés, mais aussi par les métissages culturels qui font ce que cette cuisine est aujourd’hui. Pour notre 3ème jour dans ce pays plein de surprises, on se prépare des pastels au poisson ! Comme le shawarma libanais couramment consommé au Sénégal, les pastels ne sont pas originaires du pays. Les pastels et fataya sont des chaussons frits que l’on retrouve dans quelques pays d’Afrique mais aussi dans les caraïbes et dans certains pays d’Amérique du Sud. Cependant, toutes ces préparations ont été adaptés au Sénégal et leurs saveurs sont bien distinctes de leurs inspirations d’autrefois.⠀

First al fresco lunch in our new casa. Prawn Caesar Salad goodness. I always make a big batch of dressing to last for a few salads. Super easy- mayo and greek yogurt into the blended with garlic, anchovies, lemon juice and parmesan. Bread chopped into cubes, drizzle of olive oil and salt and into the oven for tasty croutons. I hated Caesar salad for so many years when eating out, as I was always hugely overwhelmed by the balance never being right of the dressing or just being all too rich or too much, like everything, when you make it yourself and know what goes into it, it’s all super delicious and it’s always a huge winner for family lunch. #mymuybueno
What’s tastier than a bowl of burrata? Nada! Have a great Monday, friends- memories of this burrata with stonefruit and tomatoes will be carrying me through the day!! Just some balls of burrata con panna with sliced nectarines (use any ripe stonefruit) and tomatoes nestled alongside. Drizzle with EVOO, syrupy balsamico, and sprinkle with flaky salt and basil. Don’t forget the garlic crostini! This is a big bowl of summer! Enjoy your week!
Creamy but lighter chicken, mushroom and tarragon hotpot on a Monday, what a treat!

This should have been Sunday’s meal deal but it was way too late to start cooking after a busy day at the junior and adult cricket! I could have got my act together and popped it in the slow cooker before we left but an extra 10 mins in bed appealed more!

This recipe also includes BNS and carrot so packs the veggies in too. The boys loved it and had seconds so I’d say this recipe feeds 4 big size portions at only 5 #smartpoints per portion...boom

500g peeled thinly sliced potatoes
5 medium chicken breasts, or 650g chicken thighs cut into chunks
1 onion, finely chopped
200g chestnut mushrooms
1/2 large or 1 small Butternut squash, peeled and chopped into 3cm pieces
2 carrots, peeled and chopped into 3cm pieces
400ml chicken stock
3 tbsp lighter creme fraiche
2 tsp dried tarragon
Handful chopped parsley
Salt and pepper

Heat oven to 180oC fan.
In a casserole pot with a lid, sauté the squash, onion, carrot, garlic, and mushrooms for 5 mins or so. Add the chicken and sauté for a further couple of minutes. Sprinkle over the tarragon and flour and mix well. Add the stock and creme fraiche and season. Mix thoroughly and simmer for 5 mins. Take off the heat, and arrange the potato slices on top, overlapping them well to create a top for the hotpot. Spray the top with low cal spray and a sprinkle of ground black pepper.
Pop the lid on the casserole and bake for 20 mins. After 20 mins remove the lid and bake for a further 20 mins until crispy and golden. The sauce will be lovely and reduced. Serve with greens x

This is the first time I tried to make okra soup. I went to the mart and saw very fresh okra so I decided to try it out. I took a rough look at the recipe and decided to use this method: First, I stir fried garlic and onion, and added in the okra, celery, peeled tomatoes and wild rice and stirred in the chicken stock. Later I added salt and pepper, but it wasn't perfect so my daughter took over and added a bunch of herbs. She added in some chilli powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and some thyme. It was perfect ______________________
요즘 오크라가 많이 나오는 계절인가봐요. 마트에 갔더니 아주 싱싱한 오크라가 많길래 무조건 샀어요. 전에 레스토랑에서 맛있게 먹었던 스프 생각이나서 대충 레시피 찾아보고 만들었는데 뭔가 빠진 듯한 맛.
우리 딸이 맛을 보고 이것저것 허브와 고춧가루를 넣으니 맛이 딱 나오네요. 오크라는 절세미인 클레오파트라와 양귀비가 즐겨 먹었다고 하네요. 비타민 A,C 와 철분과 칼슘 또한 탄수화물, 지방, 회분, 티아민(비타민 B1), 리버플라민(비타민 B2, 성장촉진요소)이 들어 있어서 클레오파트라와 양귀비가 미모을 유지할수 있었던것같아요. 열심히 먹어 건강도 지키고 예뻐져야겠어요.
