Ever since I can remember, my Mama has loved gardening...this year she has been sick and we had so much rain, I didn’t think she would be able to do it.... She is feeling better and was able to put out tomatoes, okra, cucumbers & watermelon ... Last year she canned around 100 quarts of pickles...she may not do that much this year but I am so thankful she is able to do what she can! She has always put her families needs before her own ..... I feel like Nemo this morning, “First day of school! First day of school!” The tradition lives on, Apple Plates for breakfast. I cannot believe this is our 4th year with this sweet tradition. The girls were so excited last night knowing they would have breakfast with their Apple Plates and new school supplies This is my year of going with the flow. Liam was up from 3-5:45am last night crying and crying (we think teething) and I was a mombie this morning. They watched TV instead of Morning Basket so I could sleep one more hour because mommy with sleep will make for a way better day And that’s OK. I’m so excited for our 2019-2020 school year with our First Grader and Play Schooler!! Lucy is beyond excited and Lilly Belle is pumped to be back in our school routine. Have a great day, everyone!

This year for our anniversary, we didn’t buy each other gifts. We each got sweet cards and we just spent the weekend together. Really soaking up life, with our family and our son. Steve really pulled at my heart strings when we were driving around and he pulls into Memorial Park. Two years ago in this park we were taking our wedding photos. It was so fun to go with Stephen and pose for a photo, with the phone propped up on the stroller, with the timer on. They didn’t turn out half bad! I loved being there, watching our little guy run around in a place where there was already so much love. I think this is a tradition we will have. It is so important for Jake and I to show and to teach Harps and Hunter, although he is a little young the ‘right ways’ in life. To be kind and to show kindness. To show respect, loyalty and courage.
