Red and black silk print evening gown by Toronto couturier Elizabeth Koby, c. 1958. The donor recalled an interesting story about the dress: "When my mother first wore this dress, she encountered a challenge when she needed to use the washroom. The dress would not slip up over her hips! Ergo, she had to remove the dress and then don it once again, (and then) emerge calmly and elegantly from the washroom." Donated by Deirdre McDonald 17.07.02
