We have many freedoms in this country, and in my mind, it still remains the greatest nation on earth, however, at every turn the vast, bloated, and unaccountable federal Bureaucracy and federal Government are restricting, prohibiting, and destroying your rights and freedoms. This is not the "Freedom" that the first Americans envisioned when they fought and Died at Lexington, Bunker Hill, Charleston, and So many other bloody battles..... that freedom has long since been whittled away, lost to time, and it's our fault. The most recent Generations have folded at every curb of liberty, we have bowed at every infringement on our rights, we have and continue to kneel at the altar of massive Government, while the youngest generation doesn't just sit idly by and watch, but actively campaigns AGAINST the rights our forefathers deemed so dear they fought and died for them. What a sad day in America, I don't think any revolutionary era Patriot would fight for what we are today, and honestly, I wouldn't blame them...

Foods to Avoid During a Government Shutdown
To date, the United States is in the longest government shutdown in history. Many government agencies are affected, including those that oversee the safety of the food supply.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is responsible for the safety of our nation's meat, poultry, and egg supply. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for inspection of food processing facilities, dairy farms, and animal feed processors.
When the government shuts down, or has a partial shutdown, these government agencies may not have the funds to maintain operations and this could mean food safety woes for Americans. The good news? USDA inspections still occur during a government shutdown, according to the USDA, as inspections of meat, poultry, and eggs are "necessary to protect life." The bad news? The FDA doesn't have the same policies and they oversee 75 percent of the food supply of the United States.
Who Should Avoid Certain Foods?
There are certain groups of people that are at higher risk for food-borne illness — pregnant women, children, older adults, and individuals with compromised immune systems, such as cancer patients. In general, these groups should most certainly take caution with certain foods and be aware of the dangers if it's known that the FDA does not have the manpower to perform inspections.

My first day ever in security. Working as a contract security guard in National Defence buildings throughout the city. Dreaming of working my wait into a legitimate security/law enforcement career.

My first day working in Security at The Federal Government
It still shocks me how fast things can happen if you work your ass off, network, and never stop developing yourself.
Each morning when I arrive at work, I’m forced to pass through access control tended by security guards. The exact same job I started with. Neither of us better than the other, but it is humbling to see where I came from. For that reason, i will always treat them with respect, great them in the morning and wish them a good night when I leave.
AP Gov is the best class I have ever taken and it confirmed that politics is the right career path for me. You all should take it!
The Commerce Clause is an enumerated power given to Congress in Article One, Section 8, Clause 3 of the constitution. The power states that Congress has the power to regulate trade with foreign Nations and interstate commerce. The clause has been used many times by congress to increase its federal jurisdiction over states. In many Supreme Court cases the Commerce Clause was used to either support or deny Congress power to increase its control. Under the Marshall Court, the Commerce Clause was used in the case Gibbons v Ogden (1824) to give Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce. Other cases include Wickard v Filburn (1942), which expanded upon the Commerce Clause in concerns with New Deal regulations, United States v Lopez (1995), which gave power back to the states by saying the federal government cannot place regulations that are not economic, and Gonzales v Raich (2005) which rules that Congress could criminalize the production and use of homegrown cannabis even if states have legalized medical marijuana. Overall the Commerce Clause is one of the most impactful clauses in the United States Constitution. #apgov #apush #apushmemes #ushistory #history #americanhistory #meme #memes #historymemes #historymeme #commerce #clause #commerceclause #supremecourt #federalism #government #federalgovernment #states #usa #america
