#fitpregnancy looks VERY different on EVERYONE! The key is to move and be AS ACTIVE as YOUR body allows! For some a fit pregnancy is just getting out of bed and walking. Others are able to continue with the current lifestyle they have of lifting and being active. Please don’t compare, just find joy in the fact that your body is doing something AMAZING!! It’s creating!! Is there anything more beautiful and amazing? I think finding joy in every day movement we can perform for our and our babies health is so important.

I feel very grateful that I’ve been able to continue lifting 4x a week. I add in cardio 1x a week but that’s all I really care to do. I also strive to hit over 10k steps a day, it just helps me stay more active tracking that.

Pregnancy goals are.
.
1- grow a healthy baby boy.
2- stay active and healthy.
3- continue to grow some of that beautiful lean muscle .

How I’m achieving my goals.
.
1- focusing on eating nutrient dense foods. this was near IMPOSSIBLE during my first trimester. I was just in survival mode frankly. I ate whatever I could keep down. But now I’m able to eat all my regular foods so that feels great! I’m not trying to stay as lean as possible during this pregnancy. I am trying to build so I am loosely tracking to make sure on my lifting days I am getting ALL the carbs no,but I do eat around 350 carbs on lifting days. I want to make sure i have the nutrition for recovery and building.

I lift 4x a week and I make sure I’m periodizing my programming. I find most girls who can train during pregnancy overtrain in super high volume training or metabolic training. So it’s really hard for their body to recover and it can make their pregnancy tiredness worse! Be so careful guys! I mean as a coach this is one of the problems I see with most of my clients, overtraining and staying too long in training phases.

I am also prioritizing my sleep! THIS one is hard bc i have girls who are currently waking us up 2-3x a night ♀️ but I don’t do tv at night, and I try to get 7-8 hrs of sleep!
