Let’s roll out your glutes! Sometimes the culprit of lower back pain, or tight/sore hips stems from the glutes. And sometimes you don’t know this is the source until you get in there.
Pain and discomfort doesn’t always come from the exact place you feel said pain or discomfort. Sometimes a tight muscle refers pain to another part of the body, where you are feeling it in that moment.
Release your glutes with a roller or ball and see if it helps your back and hips out!

Here I’m rolling out different parts of my glutes. The glute max (the big guy) and glute med (smaller guy close to your hip)

Whether you are active or not, these muscles do a lot for us in our daily life, and chances are, they tight.

Try out these moves on a foam roller. Go slowly, breathe deeply, try to breathe into a spot of tension, and let it release. Stay on any especially tight spots and breathe until you feel them release. 〰️

There doesn’t seem to be proven research which clearly shows foam-rolling is effective but I do find foamrolling helps me which is why I’ll use it on my rest days to help with recovery. Remember, recovery is an important part of your fitness so try not to neglect it. And do whatever works for you in aiding recovery ♥️
