Another week down.
We spent the week with my sister and her boys in town and finished up the last week of school.
We played in water, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, ate more ice cream than we should have and played until we couldn’t play anymore.
As fun as it’s been it reminded me how quickly I get drained and feel like everything is slipping when Austin’s gone. I’m super grateful for all I’ve learned from all the interviews on the podcast because all the tools and different points of view have kept me from sinking this time.
So thank you for sharing with me, thank you for learning with me. This life we’ve all chosen isn’t easy, but we don’t have to figure it out alone.
Happy #redfriday ❤️
For too many the nightmare of their loved ones not coming home has come true. .
So many husbands and wives, sons and daughters, friends and comrades in arms. .
Fort Campbell has a beautiful memorial with a boot, picture and name tag for every soldier lost since 9/11. I was so touched that my girls wanted to walk by and see all 7,600+ and have me read so many of their names. .
I was staying strong until I realized a few men clearly saying hello to lost friends, and a family to a loved one. .
God Bless America and May we never forget all who have died so we can be free!

When I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at age 17 (you’re born with it- I was just diagnosed super late), I remember quickly wanting to know the life expectancy. All I could think when receiving a diagnosis with a life-threatening illness just before my Senior year was, “How much time do I have?”
.
The life expectancy then was 32 years old. I don’t normally blatantly curse in my posts like this, but “FUCK YOU, CYSTIC FIBROSIS!” because it’s my 32nd birthday, and it looks like I’ll be beating your stupid statistics. ✌

Cheers to all my Cysters & Fibros out there kicking ass. Hugs and prayers to the families and friends of all those we’ve lost along the way. You’re all my real life heroes.
