We were unsure as to how we were going to haul the boards up the mountain without them slipping off our packs and we couldn’t hold them as we needed our hands to pole up. @katiagriffiths had the idea to use soft tops so the rope wouldn’t slip.⁣⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣⠀ After a three-hour drive, we arrived at the start of the mission. We exchanged nervous laughter as we stuffed our packs full of Norwegian brown cheese sandwiches and exchanged thoughts on how we would stay warm after the arctic surf session. With some struggle, we managed to strap our boards and wetsuits on to our pack and began hiking.
