AND, prematurely or fake-forgiving your past abuser can blind you to the abuse in your life now— it can set you up to numb yourself to real abuse now. Forgive yourself for your natural and RIGHT ANGER. Work toward living a free and fun life because you deserve that. Ok no, don’t “ forgive “ them until you are ultra-ready, and how that you might never be ready and that is RIGHT many times. “ They were just doing their best” is not an excuse for mean awful people to abuse you without push-back.
