You don't have a fear problem... you have an EGO problem!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So many of you DM me asking how to navigate around your fear of failure and my challenge to anyone with this problem is always the same... Are you afraid of failure or are you afraid of "them" WATCHING you fail Because there's a huge difference.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Look if you want something different for your life, work, family, finances, etc there's a good chance you're going to have to try something new. When we try something new we're RARELY good at it. Why would you be great at writing your first book? Why do you think you'll be an expert at business when you've never owned a business before? Why do you believe you'll nail leadership right out of the gate? Be graceful with yourself as you navigate something for the first time and also, GET OVER YOURSELF! You want to achieve ANYTHING? Failure is the price of admission! The question is, are you humble enough to struggle your way through the beginning stages so that you can grow and become better? #MadeForMore #GirlStopApologizing
Let them watch you work! This little mama came to visit me at the photoshoot yesterday-- in fact, she's been with me at work since she was born. My boys too have watched me slogging my way through manuscripts and edits since they were little. They've watched me sign 5,000 bookplates so some lucky fans could get an autographed copy. My kids have watched me clean an office on the weekend when we couldn't afford to pay someone to do it. My kids have watched me wake up early, my kids have seen me tired from giving my whole heart on stage or from the countless business trips required to build my company to where it is. My kids understand how hard I work, how much I believe in this mission and they get the direct correlation between their parent's effort and the life they get to live.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
People like to guilt working mamas with questions like "What will this DO to your children?!?" Nobody has ever asked my husband that question about his work by the way but that's a diatribe for another day... what this will do FOR my children is teach them what work ethic looks like. It will teach them that if you believe in something you have to be willing to fight for it. It will show them that a woman can: found a business, build it to a multi-million dollar level, write books, use her voice, stand in her power and keep going in the face of opposition. If you're struggling with other people not understanding your goals or trying to shame you into stopping, this is your reminder to turn your music up loud enough that you can't hear them we don't have time to let someone else's fear color our beliefs... we've got work to do! #GirlStopApologizing #MadeForMore

PS - The fall line has a full sneak peek in my Insta stories if you want to see!
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

Struggling to make traction on your goal Here’s what to do! MAKE A TIMELINE OF YOUR CURRENT WEEK.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You know how, when you meet with a nutritionist for the first time, they ask you to keep a food diary for a week so you know every single thing you consume? This is the same idea. You need to account for every single hour in an average week. List out everything you do. The easiest way is to open a calendar app on your phone and document as you go. Did you go on a run that took forty-five minutes? Add it. Did you volunteer at the church bake sale? Add in all the time it took, including getting ready, drive time, etc. Did you spend fifty-eight hours this week playing Candy Land with your toddler? We all bow down . . . that’s sainthood work right there. Put it in the calendar.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once you’ve recorded an entire week, figure out where you have the time to add FIVE hours a week to work on your goal. Don’t hyperventilate. Five hours is not actually that much time. That’s one hour a day for five days out of seven. That’s one three-hour session and less than a handful of thirty-minute segments. There are a ton of ways to mix and match this time. The point is that you decide right now that you’re committing five hours a week (minimum) to your goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’ve hung out with me long enough you know that I have some daily habits that help me live my best life, which I call “Five to Thrive.” Well, sister, these five hours are goal-based and have a fun name too: “Five to Strive.” As in, you’re going to commit to five hours a week STRIVING for your goal, minimum. If you’ve got more time, give it, but at the very least, make a habit of your five hours and stick to it! #MadeForMore #GirlStopApologizing

ARE YOU READY TO GO ON A DIET?!
.
A diet from letting your fear of what others think of you hold you back & keep you frozen❄️ from taking action.
.
Is the fear of being judged holding you back from going after what you truly desire? The #1 thing women tell me that’s keeping them from going after their dreams is this...
They fear the opinions of others more than anything and that breaks my heart!
.
Do you often times run the question in your mind, “what will people think if I ________” ?
.
This question alone impacts:
The way you dress.
The things you say.
The ideas you share.
The risks you take.
The people you surround yourself with.
The stories you tell yourself about whats possible for you.
.
How do you know if you’re letting fear sit in the driver’s seat of your life?
.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
✨If others didn’t approve of what I’m doing, will I still love and accept myself?
✨Am I holding myself back because I’m scared of what others will think?
✨What’s the worst that can happen?
✨What’s the BEST that can happen?
.
Affirmation: I am always on my path and I will always be enough.
.
