I’m back y’all just needed a little privacy and a little downtime. It is INSANE what a good social detox will do - I’m so happy to catch up with all your beautiful faces again though! ✨ Been thinkin’ good on this #MindfulMonday... Think I’m finally startin to grasp what Buddhists mean when they say you have to be willing to “die each day”. ♥️ Heard it first 2 years ago and never got it; I’d read it over and over. Now I think it means *and I know this sounds insane but *, you have to be willing to let go of everything that’s happened to you, everything you Thought you knew, all past assumptions & stories you’ve created about yourself, your identity, and others’. You don’t forget it, you just radically accept it all as being in the Past, and let it be. 〰️ It’s hard as fuckk swear to god, and prolly impossible if you’re not willing to sit down & meditate. (Since meditating is the very act of practicing letting go, in every moment - it’s observing thoughts/feelings without getting pulled in or labeling, and how could you expect to do this without practice when your brain has literally built a habit of getting pulled in? We have to undo this through meditation.) ‍♀️ ✨ But the reward is so precious. The incredible Freedom you attain in this effort to “die each day” is that you don’t feel tied to be anything or boxed in to be anyone. ☺️ ✨ You can be someone new. you can change the behaviors you don’t like and adopt new habits if you want to. ✨You can stop resenting and pondering regrets. ✨ If you feel you need a change, you can move toward that action shamelessly without the opinions of others’ stopping you in your tracks. There’s no one holding you down saying you have to stay the same, do the same, act the same or continue to be affected by the same shit. You can let go of all the bullshit and not be dominated by it. ✨ I dare you to meditate. I dare you to see what you’re capable of moving through. I wanna see you brand new. Happy Monday you stunning & wholesome, creative & intelligent human beings. You’re capable of anything. New week, new day, new you :) ☀️
