TRANSFER UPDATE (weekly round-up):
- The deal for William Saliba was all but done until Spurs entered the race to sign the young French centre back a couple days ago. Arsenal are to come back with an improved offer next week, and this deal could very much come down to the players preference... Which side of North London will Saliba choose?
- After Koscielny has refused to travel with the squad to America, Arsenal are now in for 2 new centre backs this summer. This could have a knock on effect with the deal for Wilf Zaha as are budget will be stretched even further in able to replace our captain.
- Arsenal are interested in taking Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos on loan to replace Aaron Ramsey for next season but are in a race with Spurs for the Spanish midfielder’s signature.
Be patient Gooners. I know not much has happened in terms of new arrivals just yet, but the Arsenal hierarchy will be working hard to bring new players in. It takes time, many of these deals could full well come down to deadline day, so just be patient. Trust the process. #COYG
TRANSFER NEWS
Arsenal captain, Laurent Koscielny, refused to travel with the pre-season squad to America in a bid to help allow him to return to France this summer.
.
Bordeaux are among the clubs interested, but Arsenal are blocking any bids below £8.8m for the club captain.
.
Is it time for Koscielny to leave North London? ♂️
Arsenal are monitoring the progress of Stevenage defender Luther James-Wildin. Gunners scouts have been keeping abreast of the highly-rated 21-year-old right-back for some time now. The £1 million-rated James-Wildin has been on Arsenal's radar after a series of athletic eye-catching performances for League Two side Stevenage last term, with Gunners scouts regularly in attendance at Broadhall Way. •

I don’t care how much hate I receive on this post, how many people hate Xhaka, or how controversial this is. Due to Koscielny most likely losing the captaincy due to his recent actions, Xhaka should be the club captain for the 2019/2020 season and every season forward. He’s a leader of men and does not take sh*t from anyone. One of the few players who plays for the badge on the front, Xhaka should wholeheartedly get captaincy and lead this Arsenal team forward. Who do you want to be Arsenal captain for the 2019/2020 season?
I usually don't make posts like this but this has to be addressed. The transfer window has been nothing but a disappointment so far and I just don't get what processes through the brains of the clowns behind the transfers. I don't understand why we're not linked with many defenders on this transfer window when that's the main gap we're meant to be filling! We've conceded 102 goals in the past Premier League seasons! 51 in each! Does this club want us to concede another 51?
Also, the Zaha situation. I highly rate the Ivorian but why on earth is this club putting all the eggs on him, risking our limited budget on him when there's many other talents who WANT to sign for Arsenal and come alot cheaper than Zaha? For example, Hakim Ziyech WANTS to join Arsenal but according to this club, "he's not on the agenda." I don't understand. This club often complains about the overpricing of players but what I don't get is why we're not interested in Hakim Ziyech and this is the same player who set the Champions League alight as well as a release clause of £25m but why are taking a step to the opposite direction? It's almost like they're purposely trying to make club worse or using the fans as a social expirement to see how bullsh*t they can take. I don't know what they're playing at but it's giving me not a single particle or glimmer of hope in the underwhelming transfer window as well as the upcoming season. Only time well tell…
TRANSFER UPDATE (weekly round-up):
- William Saliba is an Arsenal player. The deal is worth around €30m and he will be loaned back to Saint-Etienne for the upcoming season. Emery does also want another CB in before the end of the window.
- Kieran Tierney looks to be at a standstill at the moment. Transfers can change very quickly so keep an eye on it, however we don’t seem to want to match the £25m fee their asking for.
- Zaha is looking very unlikely. Arsenal were willing to offer Mustafi, Elneny and Jenkinson in the deal + £40m to try and convince Crystal Palace to sell. However Palace just want an upfront fee with no players involved. Arsenal are reportedly going to come back with an improved off of £55m next week, however Palace are very unlikely to accept it.
- Another winger Arsenal have seen to be interested in is Barcelona’s Malcom. It would be on loan this season with an option to make it permanent next season. However our primary target is Zaha. Spurs and Everton also looking at Malcom.
That’s it for now... I’ll keep you updated if I hear anything else. #COYG
