THE BEST SPLIT . For more fitness/nutrition info follow @P.T.Pete - Like a challenge? Try the Fit Quiz in my story and see what you get out of 10! . What’s YOUR split? . Generally, when someone says that something is “the best” it means that it’s the best for them. It doesn’t mean that it’s the best for you. If your buddy has been training for 10 years and you’re just starting out, his workout plan probably isn’t going to be ideal for you. Your goals, experience, free time, injuries, diet, stress level, sleep quality etc will determine the best workout split/routine for you . This graphic gives you a starting point. If you can commit to 4 days a week then and upper and lower day twice a week each is a great place to start . If you are just starting out then start SLOWLY. Try 2x a week at first and then (if you’ve been consistent) add another day each month. Do not start at 7 days/per week and miss half of them - you’ll lose motivation and the amount of discipline required for that level of effort will be too demanding and you’ll give up. You are not only training your muscles but also your ability to self discipline yourself - Once you can master that then you will be in great shape for the rest of your life . The exercises here are examples and can be changed for others (as long as you are working the same muscles) . A key takeaway from these splits is that you are hitting each muscle group at least 2x per week - that is very important . If you have any questions just comment below (if I don’t respond then DM me) I try my best to respond to as many people as possible ‍ . . . . Effective workout splits - Follow @P.T.Pete for daily fitness/nutrition tips! - I get asked quite frequently about what workout split to follow and which one is the most effective. To be honest, there are so many answers to that question. I mean, a full body split, for example, is scientifically an effective and efficient split given how protein synthesis lasts about 48 hours post-workout so by working out the same muscle groups again 48 hours later, which you do in a full body split, you're maximizing this process. Other amazing splits include push/pull, push/pull/legs, and upper/lower splits. These splits allow you to gain a sufficient enough weekly volume without destroying your muscles in one single workout like you do in say a bro split. Bro splits aren't typically great from a scientific perspective for this reason along with the fact you train a muscle group once every 7 days which, to our point about protein synthesis above, is inefficient. Now science aside, the best split is the one you're going to stick to, the one that fits your schedule, and the one that you're going to enjoy the most. Don't be afraid of trying new splits every few months and see what your personal body reacts to best. For me, I have done full body and push/pull splits finding a lot of results with both though push/pull seems to be giving me the best bang for my buck. What split do you follow? Let me know in the comments below. - Repost by the great @Dancudes ・・・ #gymtraining #strengthtraining #fitness #pushpulllegs #fitnessprogram #gymsplit #gymprogram #walking #highintensity #yoga #fitness #mobilitywod #flexibility #physicaltherapy #yogi #bodybuilding #weekendyoga #deadlift #squat #hypertrophy #legday #workout #yogaformen #physio #irishfitfam #myodetox #mobility #yogafit #stretchdaily⁣ #iifym
