Handspun yarn is amazing. Even when I'm the one who spun it and it's *all over the place* with thickness and thinness. It's funny how it still seems so perfect. My almost 4 year old autistic child apparently figured out how to use a drop spindle by watching me. This was her first attempt! All I did was hand over one I was looking at to buy and she spun the sample fiber. Future handspinner in the works!

I finished this gradient last week. One ply of tussah silk, one of merino/silk. The merino silk was a handpainted top from @elfenwolle that I broke apart and recarded with hand cards. I haven't measured the yardage yet. It might become a shawl? It will probably become a shawl. Yesterday was weigh-in day for the rabbits, and they did not disappoint! Samwise, the largest of the litter, weighs an amazing 6lbs 4oz at just 11 weeks old. The goal weight for a Giant Angora buck is at least 9.5 pounds at 8 months old. Sam shouldn’t have any problem doing reaching that weight in time.
