I guess you can look at life in one of two ways. Either you're counting up, or you're counting down. Depends on your perspective. But either way, darling, just do me a favor. Please don't get lost in the great race of life. You know, in the middle when it's really confusing and chaotic. You're working towards something beautiful-- always. Someone once told me a little rhyme about life, and for some reason it has stuck with me through the years. "There'll be two dates on your gravestone, and everyone will read 'em, but all that really matters is that little dash between 'em." I like that. Because there is most certainly a starting line for us all-- and whether we like to admit it or not, yes-- there will be a finish. And the middle? What we do with that little dash between the start and the finish? That is what matters. We get somewhere around one hundred years, if we are lucky. And in those beautiful minutes and days and weeks and months-- try to remember what it's all about. Its not you versus them, sweet soul.
