Botanical Tapestry by @vanessabarragao_work measures 12 square meters and was handmade using ancestral techniques. It has just been unveiled at @heathrow_airport Terminal 2 in partnership with @kewgardens. It takes inspiration from the globe’s natural ecosystems and features six plants from some of Heathrow’s most popular destinations and key areas of conservation for Kew, including: Maidenhair tree and Bulbophyllum Orchid from China and Indonesia; Coffee and Cola from Africa; and Lady’s Slipper Orchid and Pasqueflower from Europe. £25,000 raised for Kew’s work in conserving the world’s plant life.

As you never know what you're going to get served up when you ask for gluten free meals on flights ✈, I always fill up before I board - and this huge plate of deliciousness at La Salle in Heathrow Terminal 2 certainly did the trick! This place is a proper gem - an extensive gluten free menu, with lots of different options for all meals. Even better, it's very reasonably priced. Staff were fab too, and had great allergy awareness - highly recommend if you're flying out of T2! NB could totally inhale all of this again right now.

Botanical Tapestry measures 12 square meters. Handmade with ancestral techniques as latch hook, crochet and felt using 8kg of jute and cotton and 42kg of recycled wool. This piece took more than 520 hours to weave.
