Build 16. Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1J Gerwalk. This kit was a challenge on a new level. Fitment was terrible. 99% needed to be glued. Some gaps here and there. Filling, sanding, and all that good stuff. Plastic quality is thin and sub par compare to Bandai. Panel lines were really detailed but were shallow so expect some re-scribing. Kit came in white color so no color separation whatsoever. . Finishing this kit has got to be the most fulfilling out of everything I have built so far. Even with all the cons I have mentioned, if you give yourself lots of preparation and time, looking at it as a finished project is really satisfying. . So if you're a fan of Macross and want to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself then by all means get some Hasegawa kits!
