I do enjoy homeschooling my kids, but there were days when I longed to be a Mother rather than a teacher. ❤️ As mothers we have a privilege to kiss away our kids hurts and tell them that they're wonderful. On the other hand God also had an additional task for me. As a teacher I had to correct their papers and motivate them to have good study habits. Sometimes criticizing their work and pushing them to do hard things wasn't always easy. ❤️My kids had to adjust to respecting and relating to me both as a mother and teacher. Before, I was so anxious of that these dual roles would create emotional distance between me and my kids. Fortunately, through the years I realized that this was not the case. The relationship I had with my kids as a mother let me be there for them at a personal level.♥️ While as their teacher, I was their go to for counseling future college decisions, career choices, educational experiences, and more. God made me a first resource to my kids when they needed help in all aspects of their life. Because of this we are closer than ever. ❤️ I thank God for these multiple roles we have. Since, we also have the privilege to depend on a God who is a father and teacher as well. He is the first one we should run to for our needs. Our Abba Father , Best Friend, Savior, Comforter and Holy God. Happy Mothers day to all moms. MOMS! Pictured above is one a rock that my sister @nancysajorda designed as one of the samples. It is one of my favorites and can be found displayed in our living room. I love it since it serves as a reminder of God's ultimate sacrifice. Because of what Jesus has done on the cross. I have been forgiven for my past, present, and future sins. There will never be another act of love so pure so triumphant or so celebrated as the humility of the cross and miracle of the empty tomb. He beat death just for us . He can overcome anything in you and through you. I am forever grateful. As we celebrate Easter may we be reminded of the power of the resurrection of Christ. He is risen !!!!
