A year ago I went to this magical place. I took some photos and videos of it.
I decided to post the picture and the video on Instagram as I'm all in for the Viking sagas and Movies/TV shows. I hadn't see any pictures of this place before and it was one of the ''hidden beauties'' in Iceland. I guess I didn't realize the power of social media at that time.
Today, almost every week I see a new photo/video of this place. I believe the place will be crowded this summer and the place won't remain ''hidden''.
It's kinda sad, but I guess that's how the Social media game works. People doing the same thing they see someone else doing. I'm probably no exception to that.
Have a great Monday everyone

A morning in Reykjavik (1/3)

It was the first day after our arrival in Iceland. Of course I decided to get up before the first sunlight is out to find a spot to bring up my bird. The scene I had in mind was to orbit the big church of Reykjavik called Hallgrímskirka, which is number six of the tallest manmade structures in Iceland. As I left the guesthouse it was a sunny morning. A few minutes later as I set up the bird it changed to windy and snowy conditions. But bird is a beast and can handle all kinds of harsh weather phenomena! While bird was in the air the weather changed about 100 times in 10 minutes - You don’t believe it? Swipe and check the short clip. Btw this partially sunny morning was the last time we saw the sunlight for about one week
