Some images from an intensive day in the field near Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico to study the almost mythical Cypripedium irapeanum. Great plants and camaraderie. Ever since 2008, North Creek has had a vegetable plot to feed employees. For years, we went to market and donated excess to local food pantries. But as the company grew, the vegetable plot went fallow. But no more! Our own industrious Grower, Nate, and Growing Operations Manager, Maddie, are bringing the land under tilth again and providing for us and market. If you’re in the area, check out their delicious produce grown using beneficial insects, fish emulsion fertilizer, and the sweat of their brows.
