3 months ago, I’ve signed up for my first triathlon in Geneva and chose the Sprint format. Considering my progression, my training load and my final objective, I just changed my subscription for the Olympic distance (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run): I am ready

The swimming was making me freak out a while ago and I thought it would be more safe to choose 500m instead of 1.5km for my first triathlon. But fuck it, I am in great shape and my training is going well. I am not scared of this distance anymore and this won’t be easy, but it is a lot more interesting for me and my current level. I won’t be doing many triathlons this year, focusing more on training. Geneva will be my main race and I can’t wait to compete with other triathletes

My objective for next year is clearly IM 70.3 distance, as well as my first marathon. I feel the olympic distance this year is more aligned with my goals. 1.5 months to go, let’s focus on combo and open water and the olympic distance will feel like a piece of cake

First attempt in open water in my new (and first) @rokasports wetsuit. To be frank with you, I swam 50m or so because the water today in the lake geneva was 10 degrees... This was C.O.L.D

So cold that I almost cried putting my feet in the water. When I started swimming, my face was so cold that I didn’t feel the air coming out of my nose. Anyway, it was enough for the first time. I had the chabce to taste that amazing feeling of swimming with a wetsuit. The buoyancy on the legs is incredible and I can’t wait to go for a longer swim in the lake ♂️
