Today we put the beast in! - - This cast iron tub manufactured from @kohler model Rêve went pretty smoothly even though it weighs a whooping 435LB. This tub was chosen for a few different reasons but one of my original concerns with an acrylic tub was the fireplace being so close. The cast iron tub will stand up to the heat long term in my opinion. - - The freestanding faucet is @rubinetfaucet in matte black and it contrasts really well with the white tub. - - The floor was perfectly flat making the feet leaving a breeze thanks to @pars_tile.

The simple step down/step up. No table saws, no straight edges, just good old fashioned fun on the #mitersaw. A little late to posting this, #adaylateandadollarshort, but here is a #trimtiptuesday with a bonus #toiletruesday! . . . If you step your baseboards down on a 22.5 degree angle, you can get the transition back to parallel by cutting the long point of the transition piece at the same 22.5 angle, you don't even have to flip the saw. I learned this trick trimming #production homes, and in my opinion it is the easiest and fastest way to do a drop down and step up. . . . Now that I'm on my own doing a bit more #custom work, I do step down my base at various angles and this is a little more involved. But for my toilet supply escutcheons I always do a 22.5 step down. I think it's the best fitting angle for the escutcheon and it's the easiest to do.
