I got a glimpse of what it means to discover and fulfill a purpose by sitting at the feet of someone who was doing just that. After, I felt there was something I needed to learn, do, figure out. Who am I really? Why am I here? Who’s going to need me and how can I prepare for it? There are two things that get in the way of us discovering and fulfilling our life’s mission. And there will be many different ones throughout our lives. Number one is Distractions.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The other is Lack of Resources. I've scanned my brain for everything that could possibly get in the way of fulfilling a life's purpose, and everything I’ve come up with could be put into one of those two categories: distractions or lack of resources. The good news is that you’re already on a path to discovering and fulfilling each one. God brings us to an awareness of them at the right time. We do need to keep our radar up and expect to figure it out, but It doesn’t have to be a frantic search because I guarantee you life has a way of creating experiences that steer you in the right direction. Just think about God every day, and imagine Him watching over you. Imagine him leading you along. Trust that you will do all you were sent here to do as you take it one day at a time, doing well the thing right in front of you. Women, especially, work SO hard at conforming to be what other people expect us to be that we burn out. We burn out hard. ⁣ ⁣ I hear so many people say that to really level up, we have to BOSS up, HUSTLE, and GO AFTER our dreams! ⁣ ⁣ I beg to differ.⁣ ⁣ To REALLY level up, we need to FLOW toward our dreams with a healthy balance of STILLNESS, REST, and INSPIRED ACTION. ⁣ ⁣ To be feminine is not to be weak. To rest is not to be lazy. Slowing down is not accomplishing less. To trust your intuition and let your heart lead the way rather than powering through and hustling toward a goal does not make you less of a badass! The opposite, in fact. ⁣ ⁣ It's a balancing act. ⁣ ⁣ I, certainly don't claim to have found that balance. I've swung that pendulum far to the side of rest this last year, but I feel it leveling out and balance is coming. ⁣ ⁣ I tried hustling. I tripped over rocks, face-planted in the mud, and veered off the path again and again. ⁣ ⁣ Now I flow. There are still rocks, and rapids, and bends, but you just relax into it and keep on flowing. The river will always lead to the ocean. ⁣ ⁣ Flow. Expand. Rest. Rise.

There are these times that I just sit down at a table or wherever I’m at and pick up my paint brush, pick out colors I am attracted to in that moment and paint.
