IOS TIMELAPSE - FRIENDS SECTION
HI guys, yesterdays Nightlife meeting was great. My mate and I talked about the short term future of the app and create the tasks for the next two weeks. ✌️
The first week is going to be finishing the friend relationshipa feature and the second one is going to be map and all the little TODOs I have been leaving aside. You know how it works
If we reach our goals, the testing will come after that

Day#45:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☞ Organizing our repo for development
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Implementing a good ticketing system?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The team and I got together today in order to discusss a bit about how we are going to be organizing the commits as well as the tickets. I think it is really important to structure a project the right way since it might get a bit more complicated down the line if we would like to trace our steps.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Learning a bit about iOS hierarchy ?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I found a few nice youtube videos that talk about the iOS hierarchy and how certain components work together. I watched a few videos that talked about view controllers, navigation controllers, tab bar controllers and so on. In iOS there are so many pre-built objects that are important to understand in order to be able to build a good app. I think that we all learn by implementing and not just by reading!

Day 174
@martin_lasek
・・・
It‘s sunday and I almost decided to do another hackathon hahah
•••
But I have neglected to finish the new socialdown feature which is 80% done for too long now. So I dedicate this sunday to finish it and upload it for review
•••
The feature is to add more Instagram users (for example friends) so you can see how they perform and grow compared to you
•••
If you haven‘t downloaded my app yet go check it out on the AppStore you find it if you search for: socialdown
•••
I‘m super happy for any kind of feedback of yours! The „add users“ feature is currently the most requested one !
•••
Have an aawweesome sunday ✌✨

Day#187:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☞ Instagram Clone App
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I think I'm going to continue working on the instagram clone app I was building. I've been actually pushing my work into GitHub! If you guys are interested, you can check it out there. The goal is to build a replica of instagram by using a custom server with node, express and mysql. Oh and of course, I am using a few firebase tools like auth and storage.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I will be splitting my content in half. Meaning, I will be having the start of our social media marketing agency journey as well as programming. I really enjoy doing both sooo... ya

[13/100] Have you heard about RxSwift and RxCocoa?
It’s great when code does exactly what you want (unlike my cat ). Change the program, tell the code to update, and it does. Good code!
Most programming in the object-oriented era has been imperative. Code tells your program what to do and has many ways to listen to changes. However, you must tell the system when something changes
Wouldn’t it be better if you could set things up so the code updates reflect changes automatically? That’s the idea of reactive programming: Your application can react to changes in the underlying data without you telling it to do so. This makes it easier to focus on the logic at hand rather than maintaining a particular state.
RxSwift and RxCocoa are part of the suite of ReactiveX (Rx) language tools that span multiple programming languages and platforms
RxSwift is a framework for interacting with the Swift programming language, while RxCocoa is a framework that makes Cocoa APIs used in iOS and OS X easier to use with reactive techniques.
if you are an iOS dev, are you currently using RXSwift for your projects?
Have a lovely Monday friends!
[22/100] Programming concepts every iOS developer should know
Happy Wednesday everyone! How is your week going? My week is going pretty well, slow but steady. Still working on the #100daysofswift challenge but I don’t want to just purely talk about code in here that’s why I’ve been mixing it up with other things as well, what do you guys think?
You know? Becoming a successful iOS developer requires fundamental understanding of programming concepts, because of that in this post I put together a list of fundamental programming concepts that are essential for an iOS developer:
✏️ Xcode
Xcode comes with editors, compilers, and other tools to make sure you can complete the coding, compiling, loading, testing, and deployment of the iOS apps from a single point.
✏️ Cocoa Touch
Cocoa Touch is an excellent UI framework, that allows developers to write code to design the UI for mobile apps.
✏️Table Views
As the crucial layout element of iOS development, table views get more complex as the complexity of the app increases. The screens of an iOS app, like the ones that show App settings or item lists, are generally table views. As these screens are part of almost every iOS App, knowing in detail about table views is not only important but indispensable.
✏️ View Controller
View controllers constitute the skeleton of every iOS app. View controllers in iOS also manage auto rotation and perform resource management, receiving memory warnings from the OS when the memory starts to fill up.
✏️Storyboards
Storyboard can be used to visually lay down the flow of screens of your app and the transitions between them in Interface Builder. As the size of the project grows, multiple storyboards can be used to contain all the flow of the app.
If you know another fundamental programming concept for an iOS developer please put it in the comments below.
Have a lovely day everyone ☺️
