Safety net :) . . I did a Q&A session a few days back and there was a question asked that is still stuck in my head. Is it important for girls to be independent? We're anyway going to get married, so someone will take care of us right? Sadly, this is the thought process of a lot of girls in India. Maybe they've been told so while growing up, but it is the reality. . . I hope every girl is lucky enough to find a husband/partner/family that will always take care of her. But God forbid that doesn't happen. Then what? You sit and suffer in a abusive/sad/unloving relationship just because you don't know what to do with your life? No! Being independent is very important. For every human being. Financially and emotionally. It's not only a man's duty to run a home, it's an equal responsibility. A man and woman are equals. A man can do household work. A woman can be the bread earner for the home. It's about the understanding a couple has within themselves. When life gets hard, you should be able to look at yourself for help, not anyone else! . . Times are changing and girls are understanding the importance of being able to take control of their own lives. And it's my request to every girl out there to please put herself and her life above everything else. To get a good education, to work, to find her passion, to be able to take care of herself. To be her own safety net! To be able to fall back on herself in the time of need. You don't need a man to pay your bills, you need a man to grow old with, to love, to share life with :) Girls - you do not need to depend on anyone for anything! Own your life so it can blossom :) . . My twenties are almost coming to an end and these 10 years have been the best learning years for me. From trying a million things career wise to finally settling down in life, from failing miserably to finding some hope, these years taught me a lot. And I've also realised that no matter what you do, there will be some specimens who will always criticize you! Always! And I'm not talking about productive feedback or advice, but just unnecessary comments and judgements. . . Can these people be avoided? Obviously not! Especially with the power of social media these days, people have a way to say whatever bullshit comes to their mind. So what can you do? Keep doing what you believe in! The key is to not let these people affect you. I know it's hard, but it's the best thing to do! To keep at it and not stop just because some people are heartless. There was a time when I used to get so upset about what someone said to me without even knowing me or my life. But I've realized that these people don't play a role in my life and have in no way helped me in becoming who I am today. They could have made me feel worthless and give up on what I want to do, but I can't let them have that sadistic pleasure ;) . . So let you life blossom in it's own way :) In a way that you want it to! Not how other people expect it to be. Firstly, why are you expecting something from someone else's life? Focus on your own life! Secondly, doing something for the sake of pleasing others is no way to live your own life. So own your life guys! It's yours after all and no one else's. Es ist für mich ein ganz bedeutendes Buch, denn Herrmann schreibt so wunderbar, was es bedeutet: sein Leben wirklich zu leben. Das war mein Gamechanger. Es war der Beginn mein Leben wirklich zu leben und es in jeder Faser meines Körpers zu spüren nicht nur von gewissen Dingen zu träumen, sondern sie auch wirklich umzusetzen und ja, es funktioniert. Ich habe Neulich beim aufräumen ein Buch gefunden von 2015. darin habe ich meine Träume und Ziele für die nächsten 7 Jahre aufgeschrieben. Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich gar nicht mehr wusste, dass ich dieses Buch noch habe. Beim Blick auf meine Ziele für Sommer 2022 traf mich fast der Schlag, denn ich habe bereits JETZT - 4 Jahre nachdem ich diese Ziele aufgeschrieben habe, ALLE exakt ALLE bereits erreicht ich war tief berührt von der Fülle in meinem Leben, tief berührt & voller Demut und Dankbarkeit❤️ gleichzeitig zeigt es mir, dass ich noch viel größer denken kann, denn heute weiß ich: ich kann alles erreichen, auch dass, was ich mir ausschließlich in meinen kühnsten Träumen vorstellen kann ❤️❤️❤️ der einzigste Mensch, der mich daran hindern kann, dass bin ich selbst ✌️ es kann dich niemand im außen daran hindern und es ist auch nicht sinnvoll, deine Träume für irgend jemand anderen zurück zustellen. Mind your nazar ;) . . "Bad eye - someone's bad curse (kisiki nazar lag gayi aapko) meaning someone out there had put a bad eye on you and because of that you're facing some problems." This is exactly what showed up on Google when I asked what nazar is. Honestly, I don't understand the logic or science behind it! Like how can someone else's bad thoughts change my life? In that way, someone's good thoughts should make my life better I suppose? But I don't think that ever happens! Very confusing! . . I don't think someone wishing bad luck for you can alter your life in anyway. I think it's the thought that someone is thinking negatively about you that plays with your mind. Humans are gullible creatures. Any sentiment or emotion affects us deeply. Life is what you make of it. It is a possibility that something bad happens in your life because of actual events. Doesn't always have to be buri nazar. Like everytime I hurt myself my mom tells me oh nazar lag gayi because you're on social media now. I have been hurting myself since I was 19 years old! 9 years before I even joined social media! So the logic kind of fails. Anyway, it's just my thought :) . . A lot of people believe in nazar and do a lot of things to make sure it's avoided. My ammi insists I wear a black thread on my left leg in order to stay safe. Others use lemon and chilies. Some put kaala tika behind their ear. All I want to say is that the best anti nazar method is to send out happy thoughts. That would solve the entire problem right? ;) No negativity, so nothing to protect yourself from! So to the buri nazar wale people- stop wasting your time yaar! Your bitterness is not going to help you.
