The problem with many of us today is we’re never satisfied. The world craves for more and as believers we should not be like the world. We should not crave after the flesh but crave after the things of the Spirit. That’s how you can confidently say, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:12-13). You can boldly say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6).

Complaining has been my habit and a part of me. Constant complaining is a sign that you’re selfish, greedy, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. As harsh as it may sound, it’s the truth. It doesn’t matter what God does for you, your mouth still fixes itself to complain. You see, joy is within! It’s not in things, in a person, or in what you can receive. As you can see you still complain. True joy... Everlasting joy is only found in God! Once you get to that spiritual level in God you won’t be easily tripped up, you won’t be so easily moved, provoked, quick tempered, impatient, and anxious. Because you would’ve learned what it means to be content in whatever state you’re in. Trust God, He knows what He’s doing.

We all have been united through Christ Jesus. Once we were far away from God, but now we have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. It is only by God’s grace that we have been saved! May we all live a life worthy of His calling, amen! ✝️
