I’ve been playing around with different groupings of my prints and enjoying the way the designs change (and sometimes hopefully complement) each other. These two were a natural match being the only two I’ve ever printed in burnt Sienna, but I’ve also realised that the two designs have an earthiness to them that most of my other designs don’t share, and that unites them in a way I’d never noticed before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ‘The Mother Archetype’ and ‘Forest of Consciousness’ both draw inspiration from Jungian psychology and explore concepts of motherhood and growth within that context. ‘Forest of Consciousness’ is now available in burnt Sienna! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love this ink because it reminds me of the terracotta colour of Ancient Greek art. It definitely doesn’t suit every design, but I feel like there are a few (especially the circular ones) that it gives a surprisingly classical feel to (swipe to see the black version which I think looks much more modern in comparison).
