Another mini review, this time it is my red Kamasu. It is my second diver and first Japanese diver. Wasn’t particularly looking to add another diver but I couldn’t refuse the RED DIAL. I understand the appeal in divers/tool watch now after wearing this and my PH200m. Size : 41.8mm, which I think is quite decent for a diver. In fact it looks slightly smallish on my 7.5 inch wrist. Maybe that’s due to the dial being about 31/32mm. Also lug-to-lug is 46.8mm. Comfort : Sits quite nice on my wrist being 12.8mm tall. I think the bracelet is ok. Doesn’t feel high end but does not feel too cheap as well. It does the job adequately. Although, not so much of a strap monster, but quite versatile especially on natos. Lug width is 22mm. Wrist presence : I think this is more of a “dress” diver so it is much more subtle. However, one cannot miss the dial I think. Dial : Again, I believe this is the MAIN attraction, especially the red one. You can tell a bit of a pattern in my collection, I am a sucker for lovely dials . The red transitions from maroon to a brighter shade of red (maybe crimson red?) depending on the lights. Sometimes you can get both due to the sun burst effect. One can get lost playing with the dial. And I think what really works is that the bezel is black, giving it a nice contrast to the dial. "Feeling" : Definitely a GADA watch. I’ve worn this to the office with a shirt and tie, over the weekend with shorts and t-shirt, khaki and polos. A very versatile watch. Conclusion : A very easy watch to recommend. If you are looking for an affordable diver that is a little different, look no further. However, I do have to point out one downside. The crown kind of “wobble” when at the 2nd position (setting the time). Not a deal breaker for me but I have to be careful.
