‘Food Review’
Thankyou for having me @naanstaap
I ordered
Chicken malai boti : The most juicy chicken i ever had, soft and juicy full of taste, and guess what i finished it all... normally i can’t finish my food.
Chicken qeema nan: First of all naan was very fluffy and light, not doughy at all,the chef explained me that they have worked for few months before opening this cafe only to get perfect dough,it’s all baked fresh ,nothing is frozen.. and you can totally feel the difference, this naan came with mint chutney, 1 person could easily have 2 of these naan’s...
Nutella Naan: Again, very light, not too sweet at all and that was the best thing, because all sweets in here which i have tasted are way too sweet for my liking, but 1 person can easily have this 1 whole nutella naan.
Karak chai: not too sweet to make you feel sick, not too rich, home made kind of tea that you can have everyday if you live in green street
Naan kathai: Staff was too sweet to offer me to try naan khatai as well, i am not a big fan of it as it’s always sweet and heavy for me, but this one was light, not sickly sweet and full of almonds... and i finished it all with my chai.. perfect combo for Evening snacking.
This all food was my kind of food, and you can have them in breakfast, lunch ,evening or dinner... there are a lot of options to choose from.
Price is very affordable for such a great food.
Decor was colouful and music was really good... my kind of music...
Staff was very sweet and welcoming.
I will definitely visit again.. #invite

KARAK/MASALA CHAI ☕️
•
“Chai” or “Shayi” simply means tea in many languages (including Hausa ) Karak Chai is a milk based black tea that is infused & brewed with spices. It’s usually made quite strong and keeps you going for hours after a drink.
It originates from South Asia and has now been adapted in various parts of the world, especially those with a large South Asian or Middle Eastern Influence.
Kenyan tea, Karak chai, even our “mai shayis” in Northern Nigeria all have an adapted version.
Quick shout out to my friend @myoffbeatmaisha for teaching me the Kenyan version Karak is mainly made with cardamom and ginger while masala chai has a wider mix of spices, they all taste amazing and you should definitely give it a try if you haven’t already.

Ingredients:
3 cups of milk
3 tbsp Black tea leaves
1 tbsp bap Cardamom
1 tsp Cloves
5-8 thin slices of Fresh Ginger
2 Cinnamon sticks
1 tsp Vanilla extract
Sugar (to taste)
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to a pot and heat slowly for about 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to prevent burning at the bottom.
The longer you leave it, the more intense the tea will get.
You can Add, remove or substitute the ingredients to suit your mood.
My favourite will always be with Cardamom and a little ginger
You can use coconut, soy or almond milk. Star anise, black peppercorns and orange zest are also a nice addition.
Experiment until you get the formula that you prefer.
Enjoy ☕️ •
Recipe Notes: If you like yours a little lighter and less creamy, add half water and half milk.
Evaporated or powdered Milk can be used as well.

This Ramadan we have been loving a cup of Karak Chai before bed. Karak Chai is popular all over Middle East but it originates from Qatar. Even though “Karak” means strong it’s differs to normal Indian Karak Chai. ☕️
This recipe is made with black tea, cardamom, saffron, rose water, evaporated milk, condescend milk and whole spices It’s the perfect recipe.
You can find the full recipe under the comments section below or on my website.
