Here’s my stamp finished off (for now) and tested out. I’m going to decorate it with some pattern I think but I’m happy with the shape...there’s something satisfying about a round tea pot that makes you want to pick it up and cuddle it (especially if it’s warm too ).

SLAB SELECTION. . . Material selection for a dining table build has to be one of my favorite steps in the process. . With a finished product in mind (both me and customer) I have to meticulously check each and every board that's available from the suppliers and try to visualize what the grain patterns are going to be like once they're: 1. Organized into order 2. Planed and thickenessed 3. Cut, jointed and glued 4. Sanded 5. Oiled and protected. . . That's quite a lot to think about on day one of the build process when you're looking at rough sawn slabs and you never truly know untill you've planed them down. . All I do know is: I'm happy to work with @the_wooper_residence who were available on the phone for photos and explanations of why I've chosen each board. This selection was over budget, but working with a customer who truly trusts my judgement and didn't want to compromise on the end result is something that gives me all the feels. After all, a dining table is an investment for you, your home and your future generations. Remember that when you buy a flat pack coffee table from Sweden.
