I know that leaving art and craft supplies out at their fingertips can be slightly fearful and also crazy!! How do you organise your arts and crafts? Do you leave it out for them to use at their will or hide it away in high cupboards so you have control over any ensuing chaos?! When we moved into our new house just over a year ago and I knew we would have a playroom I was super excited to create this arts & crafts station for them and the Ikea Raskog trolley was the perfect vessel for this! I love the cups hanging on the sides as they can just grab a cup and take it to the table and everything can be seen easily meaning more chance of them harnessing their creativity and using a variety of tools. It’s a great space saver and also fantastic that it’s on wheels as they can swivel it around to get access to everything on it, as well as wheel it into a different room if they are wanting to do some bigger art creations on the kitchen table. I can’t promise it always looks as organised but they are pretty good at keeping everything in his basket/pot etc and when I remember I really like to change up what’s on the different shelves as this always sparks their interest and ignites their creativity more. You can swipe across to see more pics of the contents of the trollies but we have all sorts of different things in there: pencils, pens, dot markers, paint sticks, notepads, playdoh, colouring books, numberlinks & all kinds of other things. I don’t share the kids room enough, so today a corner from the boys room! They have the biggest room in the house so it’s a playroom/bunk room. I had this grand idea to make a LEGO space ... but that didn’t work for us so back to this it went! I want each space in our house to look nice, but more than anything be functional so here it is and let the LEGO building on the floor begin!!
