•ART THERAPY• Last month was a rough one for various reasons. I needed something to help me pull it together and take my mind off of things. ( I also had a large space on my wall that needed filling ) I turned my attention to painting. Im not new to painting but it was always a craft that I stayed away from because I wanted perfection and didn’t have the patience to get close to it (Before you tell me nothing is perfect know that I am a #virgo and it is what it is, ok? Lol) If you know me you know I am overly critical of my art and would struggle with the compliments people would give me because I could never see what they saw. This week I had an “a ha” moment. I often do while going through a storm trying to figure out the “why” behind it. It’s in those moments where some hard lessons are learned and if your lucky you will find the silver lining. That’s what I found in my art. It wasn’t just a way to clear my head it was another opportunity and platform for me to share my voice through art. I posted a version of this image on my personal social media pages and was overwhelmed with the feedback. So thankful for my supporters PS: the polar bear belonged to my Grandmother (she painted it).
