Here’s the first real sneak peak of the new needle case I’ve designed that will be released in my next update! It’s a hard-bodied zip up case for needles and notions! One side has a clear vinyl zippered pocket, and the other side has 9 slots for needles or crochet hooks and one slot for your scissors, and two slim slots for tapestry needles or the key for your interchangeables, or a stitch fixer! Could be used for an interchangeable set where your cords live in the clear pocket, or for a set of DPNS with notions in the pockets, or even crochet hooks for the hookers out there The pouch measures 12” wide x 9” tall when unzipped, and 6”x9” when zipped! Oh and all the fabrics are from Rae Ritchie’s latest fabric line Botany! I’ll show you the print options for this pouch later there are three options, and I’m still not sure which is my favorite, you’ll have to help me pick when I show you!

i downloaded some new lightroom presets to play with, which obviously means 11pm is the perfect time to mess around with photos it’s also the perfect time to add a new update to @fromfieldtoskin - if you’re plant-based and curious about your canadian fibreshed options, go check it out on the other feed so back to these photos - do you have any preferences? i think they’re all fun, but definitely have different applications. and the other photo i played with looked better with entirely different presets. the original photo here was showing off a new texture i’m working into the next #everydaymagic collection. swatches have become a pretty solid part of my design process, and i credit that entirely to my square gauge rulers. it’s so much easier to make myself a proper sized swatch and read my stitches in a big 4” square than messing around with my tailor’s tape or tiny 1” holes in other rulers. they’re made locally using birch wood and you can snag one on the website if you, like me, need some encouragement with your swatching

What Niffins look like once everything is attached (but still not finished). Last steps include ironing, sewing the last 4 lines of top stitching, threading the bags with cords, and tying the beads on! I say that like it didn’t just take me two full days to do for the whole batch... The Niffins are all done now and the shop update will be tomorrow Friday, February 15th at 12pm pst! And funnily enough, while I was making Niffins my mom @ballyhoocreations was making Nifflers
