As you may know, our museum follows a slightly unconventional concept with Banksy. Our goal is to let his work enter into dialogue with long-established artists and artworks of many different epochs. We aim to find out if Banksy‘s art can keep up with Old Masters and revolutionaries of the art history and what happens when street art is put into a frame and appears in a museum. Is Banksy’s work even comparable to artworks in our collection? Can we even talk about street art in this case?
