May the soul of HRH The Queen Mother Alhaja Aishat Rest In Peace. Amen
#Repost @bukolasaraki -Today, we visited HRH, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, to pay our condolences to him and the Royal Family over the passing unto glory of our Queen Mother, Alhaja Aishat Nma Zuluqarnain Gambari.
I can say that during my meetings with our Queen Mother over the years, I found her to be a complete embodiment of peace, wisdom, humility, hardwork, philanthropy, discipline and piety.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings and counts her soul among the righteous in Aljannah firdaus.
Amin

#Throwback to May 2010: after successfully advocating for the passage of the Kwara State Child Rights Act, the first of Nigeria’s nineteen northern states to pass this landmark legislation, I convened Nigeria’s First National Child Rights Conference, “Child Rights At Crossroads” at Ilorin, Kwara State. Supported by UNICEF Nigeria, the Wellbeing Foundation Africa was joined by Nigeria's pioneer child rights advocates, Justice Amina Augie, Professor Bolaji Owanasoye, Attorney Olawale Fapohunda, Activist Olanrewaju Surajo, stakeholders and civil servants from across the nation to advocate for the domestication and passage of the Child Rights Act, and to catalyse the establishment of Child Rights Implementation Committees and Child Protection Networks in every state of the nation.
Children shouldn't work in fields, but on dreams!

#CitizensConference2019 #KwaraState - I was pleased to deliver my Goodwill Message on the occasion of the Citizens Conference Ilorin 2019 - Nigeria and the prosperity that is possible, at the University of Ilorin Auditorium, Ilorin, Kwara State on 13th June, 2019, represented by Wellbeing Foundation Africa's Mr Isaac Ejakegbe.
The Wellbeing Foundation Africa is centred on promoting maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, through our various programmes that focus on these key demographics. We developed the MamaCare Antenatal and Postnatal Education programme to cater to the health needs of pregnant women and new mothers, who need readily available midwives throughout their continuum of care from pregnancy till when their children are aged 5. This programmes which currently runs in over 570 healthcare facilities across the country, ensures that mothers can access midwives who according to WHO data can provide up to 87% of the health needs of pregnant women and mothers. Our midwives are our frontline health workers, and they represent the core of our goals. Their dedication to service drives them to maintain our virtual contact space, where mothers can contact them on WhatsApp any time of the day for advice and referral.
