Why did we start this page!? We wanted to have a space that we can be real and share with each of you what we’ve learned throughout the years. We want YOU to know that whatever you’ve been through, you’re not alone! We are going to talk about hard things. Things that nobody else really discusses because they’re uncomfortable or taboo. We have a passion for health and fitness, but this page is by no means limited to just fitness. However, we have found that being active is an outlet that brings positivity, releases endorphins, and sometimes is just a break to get away from kids! Because let’s be real. We all need a break sometimes. We have so many topics we want to touch on. To name a few: •Depression and anxiety •The EXTREME side of fitness- is it healthy? Today I am thankful for my health.  I’m blessed to be able to walk through life on my own two feet, make sound decisions with my mind, and embrace those who I love.  Things can change in an instant.  Try to never take these things for granted. Hope you had a blessed weekend everyone!

#FaceToFaceFriday . May 18, 2018 vs Aug 3, 2018 . I did the @thewodapalooza Challenge for 10 weeks. I wanted to win, which gave me some extra motivation. So here are the before and after pics! (I probably won’t win, but I don’t care I’m still stoked on my progress) . During the 10 weeks, traveled a lot, and allowed myself to have fun and relax on my “diet.” I use “diet” in quotations because I’m not married to any particular way of eating, and I’m trying to get away from the words “cheat meal” and “cheat day” because BLAH! Food isn’t bad. It nourishes, and I’m sick and tired of hating myself after I eat something “bad.” To hell with that kind of self-talk. I like food, food tastes good! . I’m not going to lie. I worked my fucking ass off for this. There were many days when I worked out twice. I gave up going out on weekends so that I could be fresh in the morning to go to the gym and train.I cooked at home a lot. I was sore A LOT. Some things just aren’t easy. Simple, maybe... but not easy. . This started out as prep for an amateur boxing match that I wanted to compete in, and as it turns out, my shoulder would have none of it.‍♀️ . So I adapted. I started lifting weights, doing high intensity interval training, and going to other group fitness classes that I like. (I enjoy step aerobics It breaks up the monotony) And going to physical therapy for my shoulder. . I’m keeping my eye on that future boxing match, though! Everything I’m doing: the rehab, the weight training, etc is just going to make me stronger for the day I’m ready to get back in the boxing gym . The day I decided to be an athlete was the day my life changed. I’m 37 years old, and I don’t care how old I am. It’s never too late to do WTF you want to do.
