So I’m probably going to regret doing this but I just can’t wait any longer- regret what, I hear you ask? Regret using a photo I’m just not happy with, bad lighting, bad placement of props, etc, etc...but it may be some time before I can set it all up again and it was such an epic project to finish...so, what the heck. This photo shoot was such a drama...hold ups meant we missed the beautiful sunlight, and got us shadows instead, the props were the same colour as the grass ‍♀️ so they just blend in to the background, the arrangement of faux flowers I’d prepared to place on the corner of the arbour were a flop...the list went on. Oh- and as I went to take the first photo with my “good” camera, the flat battery symbol flashed up on the screen and my spare battery wasn’t in my camera bag. So anyway, here it is, a very dodgy pic that doesn’t really do justice to this epic piece that’s been on my mind for over a year. I finally finished it on Saturday. And it’s been an absolute shite of a few days so I’m posting it anyway because I could really just do with the distraction of interacting with you lovely people a bit. Swurple pomp hen. Or purple swamp hen if you're being boring. It might even be a purple swamp rooster. I'm not really sure, I didn't look that close. But I have looked for the purple swamp they presumably come from, just haven't been able to find it yet. I was pretty keen to get a photo of a baby purple swamp hen. So I asked a few local Launcestonians if they knew where I could find a purple swamp chick, and they all shrugged and said "Dunno mate. Maybe try your luck at the Inveresk Tavern?"
