Microplastics, the things we can't see . . Even the most pristine beaches which appear clean hold a dark secret. Microplastics can be found lurking in the water or even on the sand. This particular stunning beach in Tasmania was a welcome relief, that there was no visible plastic or human traces. Today's day of #juneocean we are talking about the microscopic massive problem . . Each year, about 1 million tons of tiny plastic fibers are released into wastewater. Microfibers from synthetic fibers found along the worlds shorelines account for 85% of the total waste found. A single fleece jacket sheds up to 250,000 microfibers during a single wash. Washing machines and water systems currently do not have fine enough filters to stop these tiny pieces of plastic. 93% of bottled water showed some sign of microplastic contamination. . . I’ve always believed that life is about transformation! We must continuously evolve our way of thinking and being! It’s all part of life. I’ve been offered a position at our West Hollywood club and I cannot be more excited to start this new journey! 36 NAME TAGS : I sit here this Sunday evening feeling quite chuffed with myself. I have never been a great networker, I’m an Introvert, plain & simple. To get around this I set up ‘V-Formation’ in Dec 2017 which among other things had an objective of providing a structure to fulfil my personal desire to properly indentify whom I believed to be my real Network. V-Formation has since followed a natural segue to currently be a quality local network of 36 like minds, primarily “business people who care”. Tomorrow at 7:00am we gather for our 10th “Without Prejudice” Breakfast Meet in Parnell and as I laid out the name tags I felt a quiet sense of pride and satisfaction that we have no shortage of good people around us.
