At @studiomusepontcanna they really are the ‘marmite’ flowers for our customers; some love the ‘kitch’ appeal and unusual colourways ... and for some it evokes memories of cultural traditions. They have so many meanings & it’s fascinating hearing the stories. I’ve always loved them because they’re so different and quirky. They go against the grain. I also fell in love with pink carnations soon as I saw Jack Burger give Carrie a huge bunch on #satc many years ago! . Some varieties look like the most luxurious double cup Rose or a frilly, open Peony. They also last aaaaaages! Win! They grow brilliantly in Britain and I’m now in full chats with Welsh and British Flower Growers to bring them and so many other flowers here to our beautiful shop. . Who knew that agreeing to help her at the local floral shop she worked at for Valentine's Day in 2012 would lead to me owning my own business 7 years later?
